Hearing Conservation Programs

Hearing Conservation Programs utilized new technologies to mitigate worker noise exposures.

Landmark provided hearing conservation program improvements for a regional utility company in response to employee complaints regarding hearing loss. Our professionals reviewed existing hearing conservation programs and conducted exhaustive noise surveys and sound measurements for area and personnel noise levels throughout a major power plant. The noise surveys identified areas of chronic and impact noise hazards that had not been previously identified. The results of the Hearing Conservation study and the existing program were then carefully evaluated to ensure that meaningful noise hazard mitigation alternatives were identified and recommended. Our recommendations included improvements to existing programs and ways to improve compliance with OSHA regulations yet control the overall project costs.
