Air Monitoring—Coal-Fired Power Station Outage

air monitoring

Strategic Air Sampling Approach accomplished compliance with minimum impacts to operations during a time critical outage at a major power plant.

Landmark performed expedited employee exposure assessment air monitoring services for a regional generation and transmission company during a planned station outage. Landmark rapidly mobilized a team to provide monitoring during welding tasks. To minimize operations down time, a sampling strategy was developed that focused on collecting as many representative samples as possible on as few personnel as possible during the outage.

Our professionals conducted airborne particulate monitoring during extensive welding, metal cutting, and grinding on major process equipment. Landmark conducted monitoring during maintenance tasks on stainless steel and other metal components that produced airborne particulates, including coal dust, hexavalent chromium, and other metal aerosols.
