Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Inspections for Real Estate and Asset Management, United States Postal Service

Landmark expeditiously and effectively performed various site investigation services for the United States Postal Service (USPS) Denver Facilities Service Office (FSO), Safety and Asset Management Groups. Technical services included Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), asbestos and lead based paint (LBP) surveys, and site and development/building feasibility studies in over 20 states for this five year contract. Landmark completed over 200 site assessments nationwide and successfully coordinated multiple contractors in different states to meet expedited 21-day project deliverable requirements. Work was completed without incident at high security facilities, such as bulk mail, postal inspection, and cash reserve centers.

Project Highlights

  • Multiple Task Orders were received and processed weekly and included site work across the nation.
  • Aggressive deliverable schedules were consistently met with data analyses and interpretive reports generated within three weeks of the notice to proceed. Reports contained high value recommendations that included hazard assessment and cost benefit information, and environmental abatement cost estimates compared to expected life cycle costs.
  • Developed and implemented procedures that facilitated immediate notification to appropriate parties if hazardous conditions were discovered during inspections.
